Mount Temple

Temple is the highest I will go for the project, 3543 M (11,624 FT).  This trip was great.  It started at Moraine Lake, and followed the trail to Sentinel Pass, where I have been three times this year, and every time the landscape changes.  Winter feels close, especially on the summit where less than zero degree temperatures, and strong wind made for an almost non-existent lunch ‘break’.  Dan, Travis, and Cecilia (not to mention fellow Wanderer Emily) from the Banff Centre facilitated this trip; without them I would have spent the day lazing around Banff.  The day’s events were punctuated by the drama of a member of another party climbing Temple falling in a rock chimney, breaking their ankle, and necessitating a complicated rescue by helicopter.
